Hotel Eddystone is an intimate portrait of a person toiling with the struggles of standing alone in life for the first time. Stephen Beebout delivers an EP that slowly moves you into a somber, yet hopeful mood as his lyrics are softly sung over no fuss pop-folk songs. The musician had these words to say about the release:
"I tracked a full acoustic album this last spring called Hotel Eddystone. Pretty stoked on it. The songs were recorded to 2" tape using complete takes at Tiny Telephone and were mastered by Piper Payne at Michael Romanowski Mastering. Derek Ted Schultz engineered, mixed and sang backup vocals on this record. Homegrown San Francisco art."
